New investment in AI for smart cities
Our latest smart city investment Cortexia uses AI-based technology to display the cleanliness of each street on a city map. With the Cortexia solution, cameras are mounted on cleaning vehicles that use computer vision to precisely recognize different types of dirt such as leaves, chewing gums or cigarette butts in public spaces along the roads. Their images are analyzed directly on a mini-computer attached to the vehicle. The software then displays the cleanliness of each street on a city map.
The cleanliness data obtained provides users, typically the municipal cleaning service, with information about the usual level of cleanliness and shows trends. This enables customers to allocate cleaning resources in a more efficient manner. The official press release can be found here.
